Frequently Asked Questions

Dog Boarding Requirements

At Camp Rockford, we strive to provide a safe and comfortable environment for all our furry guests. To ensure the well-being of every dog in our care, we have specific requirements for day camp and overnight boarding:

  1. Temperament Assessment: Prior to joining our pack, we conduct a temperament assessment to ensure compatibility with our home setting and our resident dogs.

  2. Suitability for Our Environment: Our home is designed to accommodate dogs who thrive in a structured and calm setting. Dogs that display excessive barking or maintain high energy levels may not be a suitable fit for our setting.

  3. Safety Considerations: Dogs who exhibit unpredictable/destructive/aggressive behaviors, who bark for attention, or are high energy & cannot relax around other dogs are, unfortunately, not a fit in our home as they may pose a risk to themselves and others in our environment. For this reason, we prioritize the safety of all guests and household members.

While we understand that every dog is different, it's essential to maintain a harmonious atmosphere for all our guests. If you have concerns about your dog's suitability for day camp or overnight boarding at Camp Rockford, please don't hesitate to contact us. We're happy to discuss alternative options or provide recommendations for your pet's care.

HOLIDAY BOOKING POLICY:
To secure your holiday pet care reservation, we are requiring a non-refundable deposit of 50%. This deposit is a necessary step to guarantee your spot and the dedicated care your pets deserve. We understand that plans may change, and while the deposit is non-refundable, it will be applied toward your total reservation cost. Due to being a small-scale pet care provider our space is very limited and that means we are passing up all new reservations for the same dates, losing income would be devastating. We thank you for understanding.
